first filter a RECO file to have only those events you have selected.

e.g. use your analyzer, to pring run:lumi:event triples for the high mass events

    Use the Edmtool for this:

    https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/CMS/WorkBookPickEvents

if you don't have a cern account:

edmPickEvents.py is part of the PhysicsTools/Utilities package with tag V08-01-01 and works for CMSSW 382 or higher.

    How to Run edmPickEvents.py

The script edmPickEvents.py can be run interactively or via a CRAB job. If you run interactively, before you run it, make sure you have the dataset that you want to pick events from, available locally. If you have few events to pick, run it interactively. In case you do not have the dataset available locally or you have a lot of events to pick, submit a CRAB job.

    Run edmPickEvents.py Interactively

To run the script interactively do the following, for example

    edmPickEvents.py "/EG/Run2010A-PromptReco-v4/RECO" 140160:98:82878561 140160,101,85437704

these instructions are for cern machines, reformat the output so that the files starte with file:/mnt/tier2/store instead of /store

running this command returns a RECO root file, and then all you have to do is:

    cmsShow (your root file)

To setup a CMSSW release look HERE and then checkout the tag as follows:

    cvs co -r V08-01-01 PhysicsTools/Utilities

Please remember to do scram b and rehash after checking out the package.

6807nb are finished and available in /raid1/yma/MPAfiles

    Last week's data:

all 4150nb-1 is finished. It had to be run without the bit 40 or 41 that most data up till now has been processed with. please check your selection yields/pb-1 and check these triggers.
